Support to implement the Project on Women’s Access to Justice and Gender Capacity Building of Judges in Tajikistan

Submission deadline: 11 December 2024

In frames of the current CFP UN Women will contract the NGO/IP to partially implement project on  Women’s Access to Justice and Gender Capacity Building of Judges in Tajikistan. The project seeks to reduce the prevailing harmful social norms and gender stereotypes by addressing the key challenges women and girls face in the country such as: a) gender blind judicial system and perpetuation of gender inequalities; b) high prevalence of gender-based violence; c) limited access to human and survivors centered services; c) women’s limited knowledge and awareness on their rights and protection system.

It brings the resources to leverage the increasing political will to strengthen institutions and to engage civil society to significantly increase and expand on the EVAWG efforts done to date.

In this context, UN Women Programme Office in Tajikistan is issuing a Call for Proposals and inviting CSOs/NGOs to submit a Proposal for implementation of the project activities as the Responsible Party and contribute to the implementation of the following project outcomes:

1.            Judges and lawyers of subjected courts   have the knowledge and skills to equitably apply adopted laws on the prevention of domestic violence (2013) and on equality (2022) and the elimination of all forms of discrimination to address violence against women and girls as per international human rights standards and global judicial practices.

2.            Women and girls who are at risk and violence survivors  are aware of the laws protecting them and of their rights to seek justice.

UN Women plans to engage a Responsible Party as defined in accordance with these documents. UN Women now invites sealed proposals from qualified proponents to provide the requirements as defined in the UN Women Terms of Reference.

The budget range for this proposal should be TJS 2,340.000 - TJS 2,450.000. If the proposed budget is beyond the maximum range, the proposal will be rejected.
