Open dialogue with women survivors of violence

The 16 Days Campaign 2021 was launched in Moldova with an Open dialogue with women survivors of violence which took place at the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. The aim of the event was to make heard voices and perspectives of women survivors of gender-based violence. The event brought together the representatives of the Parliament, Government, civil society and development partners with women survivors of violence, to jointly call for the elimination of gender-based violence.

In Tajikistan, social cafés “Moose” and “Chatr” joined the 16 days campaign and promoted messages related to ending violence against women to their customers. Empowering girls through sport for inclusive and peaceful Tajikistan

The video by UN Women Tajikistan demonstrates girls' empowerment and family support, especially support of fathers to the girl child. The video was broadcasted via public screens right from the start of the campaign and will last by end of December 2021. It has been broadcasted around 200 times a day in two populous locations and reached out to over 288 000 people already, and expecting over 700 000 people by December 2021.

Using Theater Performances to End Violence against Women in Ungheni and Cahul, Republic of Moldova

The documentary play “LIBERĂ”/ “Free” (M.A.D.E. Within the 16 Days of Activism campaign in Turkey, UN Women installed an interactive “mapping” art piece, that combines sound and light. The mapping art piece will be displayed between 27 November–4 December at the Şişhane Subway Station. Created by artist Ecem Dilan Köse, it invites everyone to an open microphone to record their messages in solidarity with the #16days campaign to end violence against women. The art piece hands the mic to everyone to say “I am raising my voice”.
