UN Women Türkiye is increasing its focus on Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)  no. 5 which calls for enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices that empower women. Within this context and building on the success of the Expo 2021 that was organized by UN Women’s Europe and Central Asia Regional Office, UN Women Türkiye, KAGİDER, and Global Compact Türkiye, convened the first Gender Responsive Procurement (GRP) Summit in Istanbul on October 21, 2022. 

The GRP Summit, which was funded by Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), aimed to create an opportunity to network, exchange information, and develop sustainable partnerships among women entrepreneurs, civil society organizations, private and public sector and set up a new platform in Türkiye to discuss Gender Responsive Procurement (GRP) in all its facets; both in the private and public sectors.

"Gender-responsive Procurement Summit" Outcome report outlines key points raised during the Summit, providing; successful studies and examples of gender-responsive procurement (GRP) so far in Türkiye and future studies and suggestions on GRP.
