Gender equality in local governance and services
Developed by UN Women Turkey, the publication gives information about gender equality concepts, international and national legal framework on gender equality in Turkey, women’s political leadership, violence against women in politics and gender responsive service delivery at the local level.
It is aimed to support mayors and municipal councilors on how to develop gender responsive plans and programmes. The publication is developed in the framework of the project “Gender Equality in Political Leadership and Participation in Turkey” funded by Sweden through Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
