#NoExcuse for Violence Against Women 2023

UN Women's #NoExcuse Campaign, conducted within 16 Days of Activism in 2023, drew attention to the importance of protective legal frameworks and called for the effective implementation of laws to prevent violence against women. #NoExcuse campaign highlighted the protective significance of national frameworks and other domestic legal provisions and the international legal frameworks to which Türkiye is a party. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the legal frameworks that play a pivotal role in ending violence against women and to call for the strengthening of laws to ensure women’s safety. The report reflects on the outcomes of the campaign and the support it received from partners and private sector.
