Her Aftermath - The Impact of the Earthquakes in Türkiye: Focus on Prevention and Response to Violence Against Women
The second issue of the "Her Aftermath - The Impact of the Earthquakes in Türkiye" series focuses on the situation around prevention and response to violence against women in the aftermath of the earthquakes that took place in February 2023 in Türkiye. The report is based on qualitative data obtained through key informant interviews, semi structured focus group discussions and semi-structured interviews conducted with partners as well as direct observations by UN Women staff during field visits to Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Malatya. It includes main findings that have emerged and proposes recommendations for all stakeholders working in the earthquake humanitarian response and recovery efforts.
