Gender Equality Facility (GEF) in North Macedonia - Project Factsheet

This factsheet provides information on the UN Women project “Gender mainstreaming advisory services to North Macedonia’s administration at central level” – Gender Equality Facility (GEF), funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and designed and implemented with the main project beneficiaries: Secretariat for European Affairs (SEA), and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP)/ Equal Access Opportunities Department. Close collaboration is also maintained with the State Statistical Office of North Macedonia, especially on matters relating to gender statistics.

The factsheet provides key information on project duration, partners and sources of funding. It also elaborates on the overall objective of the project which is to improve women’s lives, including the most vulnerable groups through systematic and sustainable integration of gender perspective at all stages of policy and budgetary processes. In addition, it provides information on how the project will support different stakeholders at the national level in achieving its goal.
