This manual is a result of close collaboration of UN Women, Ministry of Interior of Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina and experts. The manual was piloted and validated with police professionals and representatives from ten Cantonal Ministries of Interior (MoIs) in the Federation of BiH. It serves as a tool for trainers providing training for police professionals on police response to cases of domestic violence, including initial response to cases, risk assessment, request and procedure for issuing protection measures, criminal investigation of domestic violence and violence against women, in line with the entity domestic violence and criminal legislation. The manual can be used for specialized training of police professionals provided by the Police Academy to Cantonal MoIs.
