Women and Girl Victims of Trafficking
This publication presents the stories of women and girls who were beneficiaries of the National Shelter for victims of trafficking in Montenegro. The stories are written by activists who worked with victims of trafficking for the duration of their recovery, by supporting their transition out of traumatic situations and towards inclusion into family and social lives. Out of six stories, four described being subject to contracted child marriage, begging, or domestic violence in girls belonging to Roma and Egyptian populations. After each story, a short list fof key recommendations for professionals is outlined, with the aim of better treatment of victims of trafficking and a reduction in the number of victims of trafficking in the future.
