Knowledge Package on Gender-Responsive Budgeting/Комплект учебно-методических материалов по гендерно ориентированному бюджетированию

This gender-responsive budgeting knowledge package is the first comprehensive educational package in Russian to combine the theories and practices of gender-responsive budgeting exercises, particularly those conducted in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries from 2001 to 2013. Developed with UN Women support by the Gender-responsive Budgeting Regional Centre of Excellence for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the package includes three gender-responsive budgeting knowledge products: a Resource Manual, Trainer Resource Pack, and Practice Book. 

In the Resource Manual, the team of international authors describes gender-responsive budgeting approaches, tools and a wide range of practical initiatives, particularly those conducted in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries from 2001 to 2013. Following a concise introduction to the concept of gender, the Resource Manual gives a comprehensive gender profile of seven CIS countries and uses their gender statistics to show how gender-responsive budgeting plays a crucial role in promoting women’s rights, reducing socio-economic disparities and achieving gender equality.

The Trainer Resource Pack includes educational curricula and modules, developed by gender-responsive budgetingtrainers from seven CIS countries, while the Practice Book includes over 70 different tasks and tests to give readers a better understanding of the theory and promote the efficient application of gender-responsive budgeting in practice.

Intended for policy-makers, government bodies, experts and civil society organizations, coloured illustrations and simple navigation make the Knowledge Package on Gender-Responsive Budgeting interesting, reader-friendly and easy to absorb.
