Improving the Gender Responsiveness of Agriculture and Rural Development Policies and Programmes

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food-Skopje, supported by the UN Women Office in Skopje, is organising a Closing Event to present the results of the project “Measuring Women’s Empowerment in agriculture with survey-based and experimental economics method”, at the premises of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food-Skopje. The event will be an opportunity to present the key findings of the Women’s Empowerment Index in Agriculture, Women Power in Decision Making in the Agricultural Households and Gender-sensitive Analysis of the Programmes for Financial Support in Agriculture and Rural Development, in order to define recommendations for policy makers, associations and non-governmental sector. The event is expected to engage representatives from relevant institutions working in the field of gender equality, inclusion of women in the labour market and the agricultural sector. The closing event will serve as a platform to encourage new opportunities for enhanced cooperation and future interventions for women’s empowerment in the agricultural sector.
