On the occasion of the International Day of Rural Women, the National Federation of Farmers together with the Network for Rural Development and in partnership with the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food, are organizing an event dedicated to the role of women in rural areas and the inequalities and challenges they are facing. The event is supported by UN Women and the Swedish Cooperative Centre We Effect. The event will host around 80 women farmers, women from rural areas, NGOs and representatives from the central and local government that will discuss the challenges and ways forward in improving the social and economic status of women in rural areas.
