“Budget Equally – Budget for Women and Men”

UN Women, in partnership with the Government of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, is organizing a Regional Conference on Gender Responsive Budgeting: Budget Equally – Budget for Women and Men, to be held in Skopje, fYR Macedonia on 22-23 May 2018. The conference will bring together about 80 government and non-government representatives to discuss gender-responsive policy making and share good practices in mainstreaming gender in sectoral policies at central and local level. The conference aims to serve as a platform to discuss key trends and developments on gender responsive budgeting, highlighting the progress made in the countries and at regional/global level. It is expected that this conference would open new opportunities for enhanced cooperation and networking among Governments and pave the road for future regional interventions on gender responsive budgeting. The conference is part of UN Women regional project “Promoting Gender Responsive Polices in South-East Europe and the Republic of Moldova”, financially supported by the Austrian Development Agency and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
