Provoked? Violence is a crime – call the police

Often, it is agreed that it is more difficult for men to control their anger by nature. Only 59% of people will call the police if they see a man beating up his wife/partner. "Sprovokuvala? (Did she provoke?)" campaign aims to challenge the victim-blaming attitudes, raise awareness on gender-based violence and gender stereotypes in Ukraine. This video is produced in the framework of the United Nations Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme implemented by four UN agencies: UNDP, UN Women, UNFPA and FAO. Twelve international partners support the Programme: the European Union (EU), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, and the governments of Canada, Denmark, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden & Switzerland.Learn more on how gender stereotypes lead to violence here: https://bit.ly/2zcPdhe
