Rahime Hasan: “When a woman is empowered, so are her children”

Rahime Hasan left Syria and moved to Izmir, Turkey, in 2015. She heard about the Women Solidarity Center from a close friend and enrolled in a computer course. Thanks to the courses, she can use the computer and help her children in their distanced learning amid COVID-19 lockdown. Run by UN Women in partnership with Refugee Support Center, Women’s Solidarity Center is funded by the Government of Japan within the framework of the project “Strengthening Social Stabilization and Economic Empowerment of Refugee and Host Community Women and Girls in Turkey.
