Ayşe Maraşlı: “All women should have access to education”

Ayşe Maraşlı is one of the women joining vocational trainings at the Women Solidarity Center in Izmir, Turkey. Fleeing the war in Syria, Ayşe moved to Turkey with her three children and husband in 2014. Thanks to the literacy courses she enrolled in at the Center, she can now read and write. Run by UN Women in partnership with Refugee Support Center, Women’s Solidarity Center is funded by the Government of Japan within the framework of the project “Strengthening Social Stabilization and Economic Empowerment of Refugee and Host Community Women and Girls in Turkey.”
