Women are key to peace, Olga’s story

Olga Martynenko is the head of the infectious disease department at the Central hospital in Druzhkivka, Donetsk region in Eastern Ukraine. She used to treat the wounded soldiers during the active fighting, and now leads a team of women in the fight against COVID-19.Her story is a testament that women’s experience, competence, and effectiveness make a key contribution to the successful efforts in rebuilding post-conflict.
