Women are key to peace – Iryna’s story

Iryna Kovalenko is a public mobilizer in Siversk in Eastern Ukraine, and an entrepreneur who, together with like-minded women, takes steps to return her community to normalcy after the conflict. She builds playgrounds, employs local women in her bakery, and is running for local office.Iryna’s story is a testament that women’s experience, competence, and effectiveness make a key contribution to the successful peace efforts.
