Kosovo marks the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

This year, UN Women in Kosovo[1] and partners marked the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence under the theme of “Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect!"A number of public events galvanized attention and action to end the pandemic of violence against women and girls. From the Assembly Building, to the Mother Theresa cathedral and the Grand Mosque, iconic buildings were illuminated in orange light, to symbolize our hope for a brighter future. UN Women teamed up with the Kosovo Philharmonic for this video, to send a message that although 16 Days of Activism campaign ended, the fight to ensure the gender equality and protection of women and girls everywhere continues every day.Fragment from “The Secret of the Sea” (III.
