Women are key to peace, Andriana’s Story

"A woman's strength is that she thinks about the consequences," says Andriana Arekhta.She is a demobilized veteran serving in the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the leader of the Women's Veterans Movement, as well as mother and wife of an active duty serviceman.Andriana’s story is a testament that women’s experience, competence and effectiveness make a key contribution to the successful peace efforts. This story is a part of the UN Women campaign Women Are Key to Peace realized with the financial support of Norway, Sweden, Canada, Denmark and the European Union.
