Born in 2000 is a storytelling project under the “Women Lead, Peace Follows” campaign, marking 25 years since the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 1325 (Resolution 1325), the landmark resolution calling for women’s equal participation in peace processes, protection from gender-based violence in conflicts, and an end to impunity for those who commit crimes against them.

Through the voices of young women from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, and North Macedonia - born in the same year the Women, Peace and Security Resolution was adopted - the initiative reflects on how this agenda has influenced their lives and how they are helping carry its vision forward.
