Invitation for Expression of Interest for Civil Society Organizations under the Strong Civic Space for Equality and Women’s Empowerment Project(Strong Civic Space for Gender Equality – Phase II)

UN Women Türkiye invites women’s rights organizations, women-led civil society organizations (CSOs), and other relevant rights-based CSOs legally registered and operating in Türkiye to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to design and implement advocacy initiatives addressing priority gender equality challenges in Türkiye.

This Invitation for Expression of Interest is launched within the framework of the “Strong Civic Space for Equality and Women’s Empowerment – Phase II” (Strong Civic Space for Gender Equality)  project, implemented by UN Women Türkiye with the financial support of the European Union.

Purpose of the Expression of Interest

The Expression of Interest constitutes the first step of a two-step partner selection process. Through this EOI, UN Women aims to identify and shortlist qualified and experienced CSOs with the technical, advocacy, and operational capacity to implement the advocacy initiatives.

Submission of an Expression of Interest is non-binding and does not guarantee selection or funding. Only shortlisted organizations will be invited to submit a full proposal under a subsequent Call for Proposals, which will include detailed scope of work, evaluation criteria, and budget requirements.

Scope of Engagement

Through this EOI, UN Women seeks to engage a minimum of two (2) women’s rights or women-led CSOs to design and implement advocacy initiatives in one or more of the following thematic areas:

• Elimination of violence against women and girls (VAWG)
• Advancing women’s economic empowerment
• Gender-responsive climate action and/or disaster risk reduction

Due to the volume of submissions, UN Women will not be able to acknowledge receipt of EOIs and answer questions.

Applicants must submit the completed EOI form and all required supporting documents, as outlined in the Invitation, and ensure that wording limits are strictly respected.
