Call for Proposal for Civil Society Organization(s) to support empowering women through sustainable MAPs production in Malesi e Madhe

UN Women plans to engage a Responsible Party as defined in accordance with these documents. UN Women now invites sealed proposals from qualified proponents to provide the requirements as defined in the UN Women Terms of Reference. The selected Responsible Party to implement targeted, gender-responsive interventions in the municipality of Malësi e Madhe. The overall objective of the intervention is to empower women in the MAPs (Medicinal and Aromatic Plants) value chains by addressing structural barriers to their economic participation, enhancing their access to productive resources, and strengthening their roles in decision-making and market engagement. The selected Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) will implement a comprehensive package of services that include technical expertise, mentoring and coaching, training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), support for organic certification, and facilitation of women’s representation in producer groups and associations. These efforts aim to strengthen women’s roles in the MAPs sector, improve their income and visibility, and contribute to inclusive rural development in line with national strategies and CEDAW recommendations.
Proposals must be received by UN Women at the address specified not later than 23:59 on date 9 November 2025.
The budget range for this proposal should be:
- LOT1 – Malesi e Madhe: all proposals under this Call must fall within a maximum of 8,000,000 ALL.

Please note that selected Programme Partner will be assumed to have accepted al legal terms of conditions present in the Partner Agreement - attached. Besides, the selected Programme Partner will accept to register and seek for verification on the UN Partner Portal an online platform designed to streamline and enhance collaboration between Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and various UN agencies. The UNPP is a joint initiative involving agencies such as IOM, UN Secretariat, UN Women, FAO, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNOPS, WFP, and WHO with operational support from UNICC, aimed at simplifying partnership processes and fostering effective cooperation.
