Within the framework of the new partnership on promoting gender-responsive investment and procurement, Yıldız Holding is committing over $4,000,000 in women entrepreneurs. The strategic collaboration will help create market opportunities for women-led businesses and accelerate women’s entrepreneurship within the region and beyond.

Organized jointly by UN Women and KAGİDER as part of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Accelerator Initiative supported by Mary Kay, the bootcamp culminated in the “Investors Pitch Finale” on 29 April and brought women entrepreneurs together with investors to pitch their early-stage startups, minimum viable products and business blueprints to investors and businesspeople.

(Chisinau, 11 April) UN Under-Secretary-General and UN Women Executive Director Sima Bahous visited the Republic of Moldova from 8 to 10 April to reaffirm UN Women’s commitment as a key partner to advance gender equality and women’s leadership in the country. A summit on gender-based violence was held on 26 November 2021, during the 16 Days of Activism. The event was followed by the ‘Creating a Violence-free World’ exhibition, which was co-created by refugee women and professional artists during an art workshop.
