The guidance proposes a methodology using a step-by-step guidelines to track planned and actual expenditures on GEWE in programming. It attempts to integrate United Nations Country Team (UNCT) Gender Equality Marker (GEM) processes within the UN INFO reporting system into this new methodology and is divided into three sections. The methodology allows the UN Agencies and development actors to demonstrate greater accountability for gender equality commitments and to track financing for GEWE more effective in programming.

This report summarizes ongoing initiatives by other actors and identifies key gaps, challenges, opportunities and entry points for UN Women Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia in the areas of gender statistics at the regional level in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The report was prepared based on the assessment conducted by a gender statistics consultant, for the period of September - November 2016.
