A new report published by the Regional Gender Task Force (RGTF), the leading advocacy and information and coordination platform on gender in humanitarian action in Europe and Central Asia, provides an in-depth analysis of existing evidence to increase understanding of gender and other social aspects and trends across the region.

The “Inter-Generational Dialogue on Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow” outcome document reflects ideas and suggestions discussed at an International Women's Day event organized by UN Women in cooperation with the United Nations organizations in Türkiye. The report "Law Review: Gender Mainstreaming - A normative framework for decent work and occupational safety and health”, provides an overall legal framework review limited to the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and inclusion of the decent work perspective. It deeply examines the current legal situation in Kosovo concerning OSH and provides detailed recommendations for law amendment.

This report provides the results of the first youth-led regional campaign of UN Women, #YOUthdemand. Prepared by the national gender youth activists, the report highlights the demands of the youth across the region and summarise the #YOUthdemand Gender Equality session conducted at the Generation Equality Forum in Mexico following the social media campaign.

This report presents the results of the independent evaluation of UN Women’s ‘Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and Host Communities’ (“Madad”) programme and offers lessons and recommendations for future programming on gender equality and women’s empowerment. The Synthesis report includes country specific annexes for Iraq, Jordan and Turkey.

The fireflies campaign against gender based cyber violence draws attention to the issue to create a global e-solidarity network. The campaign conducted by UN Women Turkey and financed by Sweden through Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) reveals the outcomes of the campaign.

Building on the programme implementation experience under the “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and the Host Communities in Iraq, Jordan and Turkey” programme, this report conceptualizes the gender-sensitive resilience index based on Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) Resilience Measurement Analysis (RIMA) Model.

The UN Development Programme in collaboration with UN Women and UN Food and Agriculture Organization led the socio-economic assessment of the impact on businesses and households in Ukraine. This report presents an assessment of the social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on Ukraine, with a focus on those groups which are, or have become vulnerable due to the pandemic, as well as the impact on micro, small and medium enterprises.

Report of the independent evaluation of the EU-UN Women regional programme “Implementing Norms, Changing Minds”, conducted from July to December 2019. The purpose of the evaluation was to assess the achievement of results and performance of the programme; identify and document lessons learned, good practices and innovations, success stories and challenges; identify strategies for replication and up-scaling; and provide actionable recommendations for future programme development.

The evaluation looks into the gender responsiveness and impact of policy design, implementation and monitoring and reviews alignment with the national policies promoting gender equality. The findings of the evaluation lessons will inform the development of the next post-2020 Roma strategy and action plan in accordance with the European and international standards, as well as the relevant national legal and policy frameworks, particularly those on human rights and gender equality.

Participated by over 100 stakeholders, the evaluation of Serbia's National Action Plan for the Implementation of the Serbia National Strategy for Gender Equality 2016–2018 examined Serbia’s efforts for creating a gender equal society. It took stock of the following key criteria: relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability.

The report presents the perceptions of women from the Kyrgyz/Tajik border about the insecurities that affect their community and it presents their proposed solutions. It is based on findings from two regional workshops; on consultations with women from the border regions of Tajikistan (Isfara and Ghafurov districts of Sughd region) and Kyrgyzstan (Batken and Ley Lek districts of Batken region); and on the Human Security Reports prepared by women in their own villages.
