This brief provides a short overview of first-year achievements of the 3-year programme “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together Against Gender Stereotypes and Gender-Based Violence”. The programme seeks to strengthen equal rights and opportunities for women and men by shifting social perceptions around gender roles, tackling gender stereotypes, and increasing men’s participation in childcare and other domestic responsibilities.
This rapid gender assessment report aims to understand the different dimensions of how the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures adopted to tackle it have affected the lives of women and men in Azerbaijan. It also advocates for gender responsiveness in the relief and recovery measures that will be undertaken to alleviate the consequences of the pandemic.
Gender-sensitive Indicators for Media: Framework of indicators to gauge gender sensitivity in media operations and content
Developed in consultation with the International Federation of Journalists and UNESCO’s many other global media partners, this publication presents Gender-Sensitive Indicators for Media (GSIM), global indicators that aim to voluntarily enrich freedom of expression and the independence of media by assisting media in issues relating to gender equality and women’s empowerment. The GSIM are available in several languages, including Albanian.
