This project brief describes the Second Phase of the “UN Joint Programme for the Prevention of CEFM”, financed by Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), which will identify and address the socio-economic needs of families experiencing multidimensional poverty where girls (and boys) are at risk of CEFM and improve their access to high-quality social services.

This study investigates the need for new regulations on permanent alimony, the obstacles to the implementation of permanent alimony, and the issue of violence against women in cases with alimony claims. The report is based on the examination of 140 alimony and divorce case files in 11 provinces in Turkey. Discussions on alimony, legislation and doctrine as well as research and data related to those topics were also included in the report to provide a holistic analysis.

This UN Women in Kosovo brochure is a guide to the legal aid system and provides women in Kosovo with information on property rights; the right to inheritance; property in marriage or non registered marriage; the legal aid system; and on accessing laws. The brochure explains procedural safeguards so women can identify the best way to gain their property rights, while emphasizing how this enables them to be a driving force in the law’s implementation.
