The purpose of this checklist is to provide humanitarian/refugee response actors in the Republic of Moldova with entry points/tips on how to ensure that the needs, priorities and capacities of women, girls, men and boys are considered in all aspects of humanitarian/refugee response.

The present report, submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 73/148, provides information on measures taken by Member States and activities carried out within the United Nations system to eliminate violence against women and girls. The report emphasizes the urgency of efforts to eliminate violence against women in the context of COVID-19 as well as reporting on advances in eliminating sexual harassment. The report includes conclusions and specific recommendations for future action.

General Recommendations #1-37 of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women is a catalogue of authoritative interpretations of the CEDAW articles by CEDAW Committee to be used by the civil servants and civil society for the improved understanding, implementation and monitoring of the Convention.
