The Gender Equality Facility (GEF) in North Macedonia project factsheet provides general overview of project objectives, funding, duration and partnerships behind the works at central level to increase long-term capacities and skills of key Government personnel mandated for European Integration and Gender Equality, so GE goals are increasingly reflected in the country’s planning and policy processes.

A new report published by the Regional Gender Task Force (RGTF), the leading advocacy and information and coordination platform on gender in humanitarian action in Europe and Central Asia, provides an in-depth analysis of existing evidence to increase understanding of gender and other social aspects and trends across the region.

The war in Ukraine has had devasting impact on women and girls worldwide, widening gender gaps, and increasing rates of food insecurity, malnutrition and energy poverty. The ensuing cost-of-living crisis has acutely threatened women’s livelihoods, health, and wellbeing and stymied progress on the Sustainable Development Goals.

The report summarizes UN Women’s key areas of progress and results during the first five months of the full-fledged war in Ukraine. This Rapid Gender Analysis, carried out by UN Women and CARE International, seeks to draw attention to the gender dynamics in the humanitarian crisis resulting from the war in Ukraine. Guide for Gender Mainstreaming in the Strategic Plans for Line Ministries and Other State Adminitration Bodies provides a practical guidance for the administrative officials in mainstreaming gender into the strategic planing and policy-making at the central level.

This report is based on a survey of displacement patterns, needs and intentions commissioned by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in partnership with UN Women. Face-to-face surveys were conducted by trained enumerators from CBS-AXA Research at entry, exit, transit points and accommodation centres with Ukrainian refugees and third-country nationals.
