Moving towards the Gender Equality Index, Bosnia and Herzegovina 2022 presents data and index scores for two full domains, Knowledge and Power and the partial data and index sources for Work and Health as set by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) methodology on analysing the state of gender equality in a society. The report will support the establishment of an evidence base for future effots in achievieng gender equality.

In the UN Decade for Action on Gender Equality, people around the world have pledged to move from rhetoric to action and to work together to drive lasting change, starting now. Through the 2021 Generation Equality Forum in Mexico and France, world leaders and partners committed to eliminating gender inequalities and to financing and implementing laws, policies, and programmes to meet priority actions and targets in a Global Acceleration Plan for Gender Equality. The aim is simple but profound: deliver irreversible, quantifiable results for women and girls in all their diversity.

As healthcare providers are an essential, life-saving link between women experiencing violence and women’s specialist services, the regional assessment aims to analyze cooperation between women’s civil society organizations and healthcare providers in Western Balkans countries – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia – and Turkey, including the challenges arising from the pandemic.

UN Women’s Country Gender Equality Brief (CGEB) provides a snapshot of the status of gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Republic of Moldova, particularly as measured against the gender-related indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Framed under the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, the CGEB also summarises if and how women from underrepresented groups are affected by a number of different discriminations.

The flagship country gender assessment report of agriculture and rural liverlihoods for Bosnia and Herzegovina represents the first structured and all-encompassing attempt to collect and analyse the available secondary data and development indicators for the country, while applying a gender perspective throughout this process.

A practitioner's guide to the community mobilization for empowerment (CME) is a step-by-step manual on the process of implementing community mobilization for empowerment, intended for the mobilizers in local communities, civil society organizations' staff and volunteers, as well as members of the self-help groups. The foundations for CME are based on human rights and gender equality. The process helps to address discrimination and to demonstrate the benefits of embracing diversity.

This report presents an assessment of the social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on Ukraine, with a focus on those groups which are, or have become vulnerable due to the pandemic, as well as the impact on micro, small and medium enterprises.

The present report, submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 73/148, provides information on measures taken by Member States and activities carried out within the United Nations system to eliminate violence against women and girls. The report emphasizes the urgency of efforts to eliminate violence against women in the context of COVID-19 as well as reporting on advances in eliminating sexual harassment. The report includes conclusions and specific recommendations for future action.

Complementing the Global Humanitarian Response Plan for COVID-19, this accompanying gender programme from UN Women seeks to support the whole of the humanitarian system to deliver better for women and girls in the midst of this global pandemic. This brief presents emerging evidence of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on violence against women and girls (VAWG). The brief advocates for measures that prevent and respond to VAWG in the current circumstances of lockdown as well as for investments that ensure the safety of women and girls in longer-term recovery plans.
