Manual for training of police officers on response to cases of domestic violence and violence against women
This manual is a result of close collaboration of UN Women, Ministry of Interior of Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina, experts, police professionals and representatives of Cantonal Ministries of Interior in the Federation of BiH. It serves as a tool for training of police professionals on police response to cases of domestic violence in line with the entity domestic violence and criminal legislation.
Regional guidelines for risk assessment and risk management to prevent the recurrence and escalation of violence against women in the Western Balkans and Turkey
The “Regional Guidelines for Risk Assessment and Risk Management to Prevent the Recurrence and Escalation of Violence Against Women” are designed to inform and support relevant authorities tasked with dealing with cases of violence against women, including institutions in the chain of protection of women from violence, when creating measures and policies to prevent violence against women and its escalation. The guidelines were developed by the Center of Women’s Rights, based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the UN Women’s regional programme on ending violence against women in the Western Balkans and Turkey "Implementing Norms, Changing Minds," funded by the European Union.
The result of work by the Kosovo Judicial Institute with support from UN Women, this guidebook provides a brief, clear overview of international and national legislation and mechanisms designed to protect women from domestic violence. Filled with clear instructions for Kosovo judges and prosecutors on applying the Law on Protection from Domestic Violence, it also provides information that the police, NGOs and victims of violence will find useful, including steps a victim of violence can take.
