Co-led and developed by UN Women on behalf of the Regional Gender Taskforce, this gender brief analyzes the access to employment and livelihoods of refugees from Ukraine and its gendered impacts. This is done through a review of key barriers (women) refugees face to building livelihoods, an identification of good practices adopted thus far, and 38 recommendations for how actors in the humanitarian response can address these barriers moving forward.
UN Women and Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Immigrants (ASAM) undertook a comprehensive needs assessment of Syrian women with the aim of gathering information on the needs of refugee women and girls, the challenges they are facing to access services and identifying areas that need improvement.

The Regional Advocacy Paper provides key policy recommendations that can help countries overcome the existing development bottlenecks and boost the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, leaving no one behind. It is intended to contribute to the development dialogue in the region on the need for integrated and coherent policies based on the principles of national ownership, whole-of-government and whole-ofsociety approaches, and will help accelerate SDG implementation in all countries of the region.
