The guidance provides a research-based analysis of perpetrator programmes in the region or the potential to develop them, within the framework of minimum standards for practice outlined by the European Network for the Work with Perpetrators of Domestic Violence, and the Istanbul Convention. As the first analysis of this kind, the document outlines recommendations for further development of survivor safety-oriented perpetrator programmes, to end violence against women in the region.

This publication presents data and insights about the perceptions of male and female roles in society, employment and leadership, household and family, gender-based violence, sexual relationships and reproductive health in the Eastern Partnership countries and provides recommendations for future programming.

The handbook on ‘Women’s Economic Empowerment in Armenia and their Greater Integration into Markets and the Digital Economy: Challenges and Opportunities amid COVID-19’ examines the importance of the digital economy, women’s economic empowerment, and emergent challenges and opportunities amid the COVID-19 crisis. It offers approaches to empowering women and girls in their education, career and entrepreneurial choices, and explores the relationship between the digital economy/ICT sector and women’s economic empowerment in Armenia.

A gender analysis of 477 government socio-economic policy responses adopted in 18 countries and territories in Europe and Central Asia over the first year of COVID-19, reveals that only 7 per cent specifically reference women and can be classified as gender-sensitive. This calls for governments to prioritize gender-responsive policy responses in the context of COVID-19 and emergencies. Measures recorded were in relation to social protection, labour market, and economic, fiscal and business stimulus.

The guidance note ‘A Guide for ‘Safe YOU’ mobile app stakeholders to Create GBV-related Digital Content and Safeguard Women and Adolescent Girls from GBV’ provides developers and partners of the Safe YOU Mobile App with the knowledge necessary to create and improve digital content related to GBV, including reference tools, cyber security measures for app users, and mobilizing more women and adolescent girls to use the app.

The ‘Handbook for Civil Society Organizations on Building Women’s and Girls’ Knowledge and Skills to Understand, Detect, Prevent and Respond to Cyberviolence’ has been developed to help civil society efforts to galvanize women and girls as active agents of change in creating safer digital spaces and in addressing gender-based cyberviolence.

‘A Guide for Women and Girls to Prevent and Respond to Cyberviolence' will help to build awareness on the different forms of cyberviolence and offers helpful do's and don'ts to minimize being subjected to cyberviolence, and to be able to respond in case it happens. The guide also offers tips on actions to take if someone you know is being subjected to cyberviolence.

This brief provides a short overview of first-year achievements of the 3-year programme “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together Against Gender Stereotypes and Gender-Based Violence”. The programme seeks to strengthen equal rights and opportunities for women and men by shifting social perceptions around gender roles, tackling gender stereotypes, and increasing men’s participation in childcare and other domestic responsibilities.

This toolkit on ‘Being Gender Aware with Arpi’ follows 12-year-old Arpi's journey in becoming gender aware. Through Arpi, young readers are introduced to gender concepts, unlocking girls' potential in STEM, and building girls' confidence for further and continuous involvement in STEM fields.

This programme brief details the scope, objectives, and activities of the three-year “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together Against Gender Stereotypes and Gender-Based Violence” programme funded by the European Union and implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA in six Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

UN Women’s country gender equality brief (CGEB) provides a snapshot of the status of gender equality and the empowerment of women in Armenia, particularly against the gender-related indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals. Framed under Agenda 2030 and the SDGs, the CGEB also attempts to summarize how/ if women from marginalized or vulnerable communities may face multiple layers of discrimination.

The Regional Advocacy Paper provides key policy recommendations that can help countries overcome the existing development bottlenecks and boost the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, leaving no one behind. It is intended to contribute to the development dialogue in the region on the need for integrated and coherent policies based on the principles of national ownership, whole-of-government and whole-ofsociety approaches, and will help accelerate SDG implementation in all countries of the region.

This policy brief highlights the need for publicly provided social care services for children, the sick, the elderly and persons with disabilities to reduce the burden of unpaid care work on women and advance women’s economic empowerment. It details the substantial advantages and returns countries stand to gain in the short and long run from such investments.
