On February 6th, 2023, Türkiye was struck by two significant earthquakes that resulted in widespread devastation in the Southeast region of the country, affecting 11 provinces with a population of around 14 million (16.4% of the total population of the country). This brief explains the impact of the earthquake, needs and priorities of women and girls and UN Women's response efforts on the ground.

The report "Law Review: Gender Mainstreaming - A normative framework for decent work and occupational safety and health”, provides an overall legal framework review limited to the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and inclusion of the decent work perspective. It deeply examines the current legal situation in Kosovo concerning OSH and provides detailed recommendations for law amendment.

Call to Action on Temporary Special Measures" is prepared for women politicians and leaders with whom UN Women Turkey cooperates under the "Advancing Gender Equality and Women’s Leadership in Political and Business Life" project, funded by Sweden through Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). It provides an overview of the discussion among the key stakeholders in the country and the region on the achievements and new challenges related to security of women and girls, and of key results of the implementation of resolution 1325 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Under the "Women in Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina" project, UN Women produced a Guide intended to inform political parties in considering different strategies for strengthening women's political participation and their political influence in political processes by reinforcing parties’ internal structures. The Guide is intended for all political parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of whether they have dealt with gender equality issues on a systemic level before or not.

This publication features the findings of safety audits of public spaces, as well as the results of online surveys and focus group discussions conducted with women from the conflict-affected communities of Soledar and Toretsk in Donetsk region and Novoaidar and Zolote in Luhansk region, in eastern Ukraine.
