Despite significant strides in national and international legislation, persisting gender inequalities in the world of work continue to act as a barrier to sustainable and inclusive development. In the private sector, while many organizations have successfully implemented internal policies regarding non-discrimination and equal opportunity – often aligned with Women’s Empowerment Principle (WEP) 2 –significant gaps remain between these internal workplace standards and external marketplace practices, notably in supply chain policies and practices. This manual is designed to train individuals who work in companies of all sizes and from all sectors.Executive management staff, procurement employees, as well as employees responsible for corporate sustainability, are the primary target groups. The structure of the manual is flexible in order to accommodate the different needs of the target groups.
