Participant Hand-Outs: Gender-Responsive Procurement (GRP) For Companies
Gender inequality shows up in the business world, shaped by factors such as social norms, institutional practices, and long-standing patterns of exclusion. This manifests in unequal conditions for women in business, especially in procurement. Gender discrimination is seen when procurement policies or practices end up excluding or disadvantaging suppliers because of gendered realities in the market. This document serves as handout for participants of the Gender Responsive Procurement Training, which they can refer to during and after the training. The nine modules in this handout help enhance the knowledge of professionals in this field about gender-responsive procurement, which doesn't change who wins contracts but changes who gets a fair chance to compete.
