Joint SDG Fund programme: Country factsheets
Developed by UN Women, UNFPA, and UNDCO, these new country factsheets present key gender-specific Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators for Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Moldova. Designed in a standardized and accessible format, they support national statistical offices in translating complex gender data into user-friendly visuals and narratives for policymakers, media, and the public.
Key Thematic Areas
The factsheets provide clear, evidence-based insights across five core areas:
- Population dynamics
- Power and decision-making
- Employment
- Unpaid care and domestic work
- Human rights and violence
A Replicable Toolbox for SDG Monitoring
By providing clear, evidence-based insights, the factsheets help guide targeted interventions that strengthen the rights and wellbeing of women and girls. Furthermore, their standardized structure serves as a practical, adaptable toolbox for other countries looking to disseminate gender data and enhance their own national SDG monitoring efforts.
These factsheets were developed under the regional joint SDG Fund programme, “Empowering Equality: Strengthening Gender Data Systems for Sustainable Development in Europe and Central Asia,” implemented by UN Women, UNFPA, and UNDCO in close collaboration with national statistical offices.
