Key findings of the dialogue to UN agencies in Tajikistan with Afghan women

This brief presents the testimonies of Afghan women in Afghanistan and Tajikistan concerning their current situation and priorities, following discussions with representatives of UN agencies in Tajikistan as a follow-up on the “Strengthening Social Capital of Young Afghan Women for Advancing Peace” conference held on 4-6 December 2023, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The session aimed to explore the “Call for Action,” an outcome of the December conference, focusing on ensuring gender balance in peace talks, and increasing the roles of Afghan women in safety, security, education, and economic participation.
