Violence against women and girls is a global problem with many countries increasingly concerned about its effective prevention and response, including Ukraine. For the last ten years, UN Women’s "Safe Cities and Safe Public Spaces for Women and Girls" Global Initiative has worked with leading women’s organizations, local and national governments, UN agencies, and other partners to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive approaches to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls, including sexual harassment in public spaces in different settings. "Methodical recommendation on how to conduct safety audit in the framework of UN Women global flagship initiative Safe Cities and Safe Public Spaces for Women and Girls” includes practical tools on how to develop, implement, and evaluate policies on the prevention of and response to sexual harassment and other forms of violence against women and girls.
