The photo exhibition displayed the best works acquired within the framework of the photo contest “The World through My Eyes”. Both the photo contest and the exhibition were organized to raise awareness among young people about UN’s efforts in the field of peace, tolerance and peace building and to help creative and progressive young people of Uzbekistan express their vision of the world without war and violence. “The World through My Eyes” photo contest has not only encouraged the most active young people of Uzbekistan but provided them with an opportunity to demonstrate the attitude of young people on the issues of peace.

The world through the eyes of the young people seems to be happy and serene. It has both a respect for the past and a faith in the brighter future. The photos depict happy faces of children and elderly people, working young people, traditional festivities and family meals, views of cities and nature of Uzbekistan. Interesting plots, unusual angles, well-captured happy moments from the lives of people – all of these are united by one idea of peace, tranquility and good.
